HISTOIRE DU CLUB

Au milieu des années 80, le triathlon est né à Parthenay au sein d'une structure associative (Tournesol Aquatic Club) en tant que membre utilisateur de la piscine. A ce titre trois triathlons sont organisés à Parthenay (86,87,88).

Cette structure ayant disparu au début des années 90, le Triathlon Club de Gâtine est né. Fin 1994, le bureau relance l'organisation du triathlon de Parthenay sous le nom de "Triathlon des Deux-Sévres". Le bureau actuel est élu en 2003 et poursuit le développement du club.
